Paul Doyle of the Hartford Courant offers a long list of potential candidates for coaching vacancies in Connecticut on Monday, several new names. Connecticut native and current NFL-res Kevin Gilbride, offensive coordinator of the New York Giants, and Tony Sparano, who could be fired by the Miami Dolphins this week, are among them.

Iowa offensive coordinator Ken O’Keefe, Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster, former Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinski, former OC Mark Whipple Miami, Columbia coach Norrie Wilson and Hank Hughes and Todd Orlando Huskies assistants all could also be in the mix, according to Doyle. Randy Edsall bound for his new job as head coach of the University of Maryland, Connecticut Huskies need a new coach of their own.
